25 Seal-iously Silly Sea Chonks Featuring Walruses, Sea Lions & Manatees

Some days are regular days. But in some others, you just need to hit the banana pose and enjoy a sunbeam, or dive into the ocean like a chonker badonker, to leave all your worries on the surface.

While all four sea chonkers are absolute role models when it comes to having a silly little worry-free day, they absolutely each have their own flavor of silly. Even if they all belong to the "badonkadonk aquatic blob" club of the underwater animal kingdom, they have very different personalities:

Seals are pure derp energy. With those big wet eyes, perpetual :3 face, and that awkward banana belly balance as if they forgot how limbs work, they're definitely the derpiest of the club. In water, though, they're an elegant torpedo. But on land… they're a sentient beanbag.

Sea Lions are the chaotic theater kids. Loud, dramatic, clapping, spinning, barking at nothing. They can move well on land, much better than seals, which they use mainly to be extra about everything. But honestly? Same.

Walruses are the grumpy old men of the sea, they give off that "get off my algee lawn" vibe. They have massive mustaches, giant tusks, and a constant "I've had enough" expression on their droopy faces. Then they just… pile on top of each other, snorring in a blubbery bliss. 

Manatees are the zen potatoes sea cows. No thoughts, just float. Slow, gentle, occasionally bonk into things with zero urgency. Their whole vibe is "I will arrive eventually, maybe. Don't wait for me. I don't even remember where we said we were going to."

  • This is sort of amazing, so let us elaborate:

    To prevent further property damage to boats between Ireland, the UK, France, and Spain, because this lost walrus literally just wanted a place to nap - the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) and Seal Rescue Ireland created a custom “floating couch” of sorts, to give the massive 800kg Wally a safe place to rest. This guy sank several boats along the European coast before they gave him his floaty.

    The intervention successfully helped to manage the situation while Wally continued his journey north, where he would chill with his Walrus gang. And the "couch"? It provided a sustainable alternative for his nap-heavy routine.

    Wally is a walrus icon.
